Gateway Housing Association is a locally based housing association with over 2,800 homes in and around Tower Hamlets for people in housing need.  We provide homes for social rent, shared ownership, sheltered and leasehold accommodation.We also own and provide care services for two care homes in the Stepney area of Tower Hamlets. education programme aimed at Tower Hamlets’ residents who are unemployed and out of education and training. The course is a flexible pre-employment scheme which helps participants to improve their skills so that they may be ready to enter into
employment, training or an apprenticeship.Participants receive one-to-one and group training including confidence building and interview skills, CV and job search guidance. They will also be offered the opportunity to gain an accreted City and Guilds qualification in Employability Skills.Support from a qualified advisor will be given to help participants progress onto either employment, further education or an apprenticeship.

Fostering With Newham Council

We currently need foster carers for children between the ages of 2-18. More than anything, we are looking for people who would consider caring for teenagers.

 Depending on the age of the child, a newly approved foster carer can receive between £291 and £407 per child, per week.

 When you foster a child, you look after them in your own home as part of your family.

 You can be almost any age but we will look at your experience and fitness.

 We welcome people who are from any cultural, ethnic, religious and social background. Single, married, in a civil partnership, divorced, who rent or own their home. You will need to have spare room for a child.

 You will receive training and be allocated your own supervising social worker to support you whilst  fostering.
